WILSON’S MILLS – Two men are jailed on felony charges after Wilson’s Mills Police and the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a larceny in progress call May 5th around 10:00pm at Blu Site Solutions, a porta-potty business, located at 134 Uzzle Industrial Drive.
The two suspects were caught on camera allegedly pumping diesel fuel from tanks on the company property. When officers arrived, one suspect fled on foot. Police said the second person, Emmanuel Lee Frederick, age 45, was detained.
Police Chief A.Z Williams said an investigation determined that Fredrick and an unknown accomplice were stealing diesel fuel from tanks by siphoning into a tank inside an enclosed trailer. The vehicle used in the theft was registered to James Arthur Cook, Jr., age 42. Inside the vehicle, a wallet containing a driver’s license belonging to James Cook was also found.
Frederick was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. Felony warrants were taken out on Cook for the same charges.
The next day, May 6, Mr. Cook contacted the Wilson’s Mills Police Department inquiring about his vehicle and wallet and later went to the police department to retrieve the items. When he arrived, Cook told officers that his brother-in-law had used his truck and he needed it back. Based on evidence gathered, including video surveillance footage, Cook was arrested for the Blu Site Solution theft. Investigators believe the two may be responsible for a previous diesel fuel theft that occurred 11 days earlier of approximately 500 gallons valued at approximately $2,600. No charges have been filed in that incident at this time. Emmanuel Fredrick and James Cook Jr. are both being held in the Johnston County Detention Center under $70,000 and $100,000 secured bonds, respectively.
Sadly I think this will become more common as the diesel fuel shortage progresses. People are getting desperate!
Probably same one’s that hit the Blackmons xRd. store.
Explain to me how this article has anything to do with politics. I’ll wait…
If you really need that explained to you, you’ve got problems.
Pither, this article mentions nothing about politics yet people jump to the conclusion that these folks are stealing diesel because of the high prices. Also, I was replying to terrybarns, someone who loves to bring up totally unrelated things.
Are U being serious? Biden has caused high gas prices and inflation. Everyone knows that.
How are they supposed to eat and take care of their families. They’re not stealing they’re protesting high fuel prices.
Good job Wilson’s Mills Police and JOCO Sheriff’s office.
